Thank you for visiting my world. I am a farmer’s daughter, born and raised in Oregon’s lush Willamette Valley. My roots sink deep into its soil, both literally and figuratively. I am connected to the earth and love all things that grow. My upbringing was basic and simple: go to church, work hard, save your money, and don’t lie. I am a mother of four and grandmother of five grandgirls.

I operated a gardening business for twenty years, retiring in 2022. I started photographing the floral beauty in the gardens where I worked, creating Mom’s Rose Note Cards and a large collection of photos I would love sharing with you. As you visit my world, my hope is that you see God’s presence everywhere. He isn’t “somewhere, someday,” but in the here and now—in nature, in the sea and sky, in everyday experiences planned at His hand. May you have eyes to see and ears to hear.
Driven by the desire to share the person of God with others, I began writing a decade ago. I call my blog “Tidbits and Pearls,” as well as one of the two books I have published. You can order a copy of Tidbits and Pearls here. And Sermons From A Soapbox here.
